Latin American Culture Fest: October 20-21, 2012
Surround yourself with Hispanic music, dancers, arts, crafts and food at the 10th annual Latin Culture Fest. Performances range from traditional to contemporary. A number of countries are represented, including Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, and Panama. Learn about them all through a variety of interactive activities. African Culture Fest: January 19-21, 2013
Sample authentic goods and food from a bustling African marketplace, listen to skilled narrators tell their tales and watch exciting performances by African drummers and dancers, all at the 27th annual African Culture Fest. Activities reflect Africa’s diversity. You can even visit an African village featuring full-size huts complete with African villagers demonstrating traditional crafts and activities. Appalachian Culture Fest: February 16-17, 2013
Experience the mountain culture of Appalachia during the Appalachian Culture Fest, an extension of the popular springtime Appalachian Festival held annually in May at Coney Island. Co-sponsored by the Appalachian Community Development Association, the event features great food, skilled mountain crafters selling handmade wares, traditional arts demonstrators, storytellers and performances by talented bluegrass musicians. Celtic Lands Culture Fest: March 9-10, 2013
The 14th annual Celtic Lands Culture Fest offers an array of folklore and art from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Marvel at the fast and fancy footwork of traditional Celtic dancers, listen to Celtic folk tales told by skilled storytellers, enjoy music by local Celtic musicians, and shop the vendors’ booths for authentic wares and baked goods. Asian Culture Fest: April 13-14, 2013
The 9th annual Asian Culture Fest will highlight the rich histories, arts, and traditions of China, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Nepal through an assortment of performances and cultural activities. There will be demonstrations, storytelling, dance performances, workshops, cultural displays and an Asian marketplace with authentic Asian merchandise. Download vendor application
